Despite Southampton’s relegation last season, Fernandes enjoyed an excellent campaign and is valued between £25-30 million. West Ham have done business with the south coast club in recent years for Flynn Downes, James Ward-Prowse and Maxwel Cornet, so there should be good communication between the clubs.
Fernandes was on the bench for yesterday’s win against newly promoted Wrexham, and Sky Sports openly mentioned West Ham’s interest in the player. He would certainly bring some much-needed qualities to the Hammers midfield and, if we could sign him, it would be something of a coup
