Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen give the Jacksonville Jaguars one of the best pass-rush tandems in the NFL. However, the rotation behind them left much to be desired last year. Not surprisingly, the Jags signed Emmanuel Ogbah and Dawuane Smoot to bolster the depth at the position. On top of that, they might've found a hidden gem in the aftermath of the 2025 NFL Draft that could give the whole group a massive boost.
After going undrafted, defensive end Danny Striggow signed with the Jags. Early on, he seemed like a potential candidate to sneak onto the 53-man roster. He just strengthened his case with a strong showing against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the preseason opener.
Jaguars rookie Danny Striggow made the most of his chances vs. the Steelers
Danny Striggow didn't let his status as an undrafted free agent prevent him from making an impact in Week 1 of the preseason. His best play was his strip sack, but as noteworthy as it was, it wasn't the only reason the former Minnesota Golden Gopher stood out.

Striggow also got ample playing time on special teams, and whenever he got snaps on defense, he did so ahead of sophomore Myles Cole. This is probably a sign that the Orono, Minnesota native was already moving up the depth chart, and his big play against the Steelers only boosts his stock even more.

What does Danny Striggow must do to make the Jaguars 53-man roster?
There are always reasons why a player will go undrafted. Maybe he has injury red flags, character concerns, or maybe he's simply not that good. In Danny Striggow's case, he logged a combined 11 sacks in his last two collegiate seasons but was flying under the radar until he was a last-minute addition to the Senior Bowl when someone else dropped out of the event.
Striggow met with several clubs and made a strong impression, but it wasn't enough to get his name called in the draft. Still, the Jacksonville Jaguars saw his potential and wasted no time signing him. So far, the decision has paid off, but he still has his work cut out.
Travon Walker, Josh Hines-Allen, and Emmanuel Ogbah are locks to make the team. Dawuane Smoot, who came back after a season with the Buffalo Bills, should also make the team. That will leave one or two roster spots at defensive end up for grabs.
Already, Danny Striggow appears to be ahead of fellow defensive end Myles Cole on the depth chart, so that's a sign he's trending in the right direction. That said, he'll need to continue to make a strong impression if he wants to leave the Jaguars no choice but to give him a spot on the 53-man roster.
