SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) - - On Sunday afternoon many Eagles fans went to 'Open Practice Day.' Families and fans alike got an up close and personal look at the team practicing at Lincoln Financial Field.

"Just got to see my boys get ready for the season, die-hard Eagles fan all day," said Najah Booker, of Northeast Philadelphia.

It was picture-perfect football weather, with sunshine, clear skies, and the Super Bowl champs warming up just yards away.

"Let's go! We're here to see the Eagles and Paul's ready for Jalen Hurts," said Sean McGeever, of Roxborough.

Fresh off a Super Bowl victory and a preseason win, this team has the city buzzing.

"I like Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown," said Booker.

Families brought game-day energy without the game-day price tag. Tickets were $10, to support the Eagles Autism Foundation.

"First time here for me and my daughter we're excited to check it out," said Emily King, of Mechanicsburg, PA.

If you've never been to the Linc before, one thing stands out right away.

"It's very loud, Eagles fans are very hyped about this," said Ellis Hamlin, of Hockessin, Delaware.

The Bird Gang is already talking big for the season ahead.

"Going into the season I'm expecting all the greatness that we had from last season. I'm looking forward to all the W's none of the L's and just a great old party time with Eagles spirit " said Perpetua Auguste, of West Philadelphia.

Many said they loved the laid-back vibe, with no scoreboard stress, just pure fun.

"More relaxed, more family-friendly, so much for the kids to do," said Katelyn Becher, of South Philadelphia.

Families said it's been a perfect summer night, with no school Monday, no scoreboard to watch, just Birds fans soaking it in. Two more preseason games in August, then it's all business heading into the season.
