Everton are very proactive in the transfer market at the moment as the new 2025/26 Premier League season rapidly approaches.
David Moyes wants to sign Jack Grealish from Manchester City, and there is belief that a season-long loan deal can materialise.
Moyes is also eyeing Tyler Dibling, who is valued at around £50m by Southampton, so there is a gap in valuations at the moment.
A striker remains on the Scotsman’s shortlist, interestingly, and now there has been a fresh development on that front which may concern Everton forward Beto.

Everton striker Beto must be concerned at latest transfer rumour
Everton are exploring a deal to sign Franculino Dju from Danish giants FC Midtjylland.
Dju has started the season in prolific form, netting seven goals in his opening six appearances, which follows a 16-goal campaign last year.

The Toffees would have to shell out £17m to land his signature, so if that were to happen, that’d surely make Beto the third-choice striker.

The former Udinese man will certainly be looking at the deal with raised eyebrows, and it may even prompt a move away.
With Thierno Barry set to start most games and perhaps Dju the back-up, Beto will likely play a very limited role.
Moyes admitted he was disappointed with Beto after the Manchester United friendly, and he’s previously criticised his first touch.
Beto does have interest
Beto has had significant interest in his signature this summer, with Premier League and European clubs enquiring.
Leeds United have looked at Beto and so too have Portuguese giants Benfica and top Serie A outfit Atalanta.
The Toffees want £21m to sanction his sale, so if any forthcoming suitors meet that demand, it seems Moyes would allow him to move on.
For now, though, a trio of Barry, Beto and Youssef Chermiti cannot afford any departures without a replacement.
