Tottenham begin talks with Man City over shock summer transfer

Target: Savinho

Tottenham Hotspurs Football Newsletter

Spurs are looking to bolster their attacking options before the summer transfer window closes.

Tottenham have sold captain Heung-min Son to LAFC and lost James Maddison for an extended period of time after he injured his knee.

Manchester City winger Savinho has emerged as a target and talks are understood to have taken place between the two clubs.

City are reluctant to sell the 21-year-old, who made 48 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side last season.

The winger broke into the Brazil squad during that time and has since gone on to make 13 appearances for them, scoring once.

Savinho would add to Tottenham’s depth in attack as he is able to play on either flank.

Spurs have also been linked with a move for Como playmaker Nico Paz before the transfer window closes.
