Wolves interested in two Chelsea fringe players

Chelsea defeated AC Milan 4-1 in their final friendly of the summer on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues went ahead through an own goal at Stamford Bridge, before Joao Pedro doubled their advantage.

Liam Delap then added a third, before their Italian opponents – who had been reduced to ten men early on when Andrei Coubis was sent off – pulled one back.

Delap then added his second and Chelsea’s fourth in the final moments, ensuring Enzo Maresca’s side have won both of their pre-season friendlies this summer.

Chelsea will now face London rivals Crystal Palace in their Premier League opener on Sunday, before visiting fellow Londoners West Ham United in their first away trip of the new campaign.

In the meantime, it has emerged that one of their Premier League rivals are eyeing two current Blues stars.

According to CaughtOffside, Wolves are pondering a double swoop for both forward David Datro Fofana and defender Axel Disasi.

The duo are among those that are likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as Maresca and those in charge of the club continue to overhaul their squad.

Disasi, 27, joined Chelsea from French side Monaco in 2023 but has since struggled to establish himself as a guaranteed starter in West London.

In total he has played more than 60 times for the club, but he was sent on loan to Aston Villa for the second half of last season after falling down the pecking order of central defenders at Stamford Bridge.

Fofana, meanwhile, joined the Blues from German side Molde in 2023 but has since had loan spells with German side Union Berlin, Premier League rivals Burnley and Turkish side Goztepe.

He has featured just four times for Chelsea since joining the club and is yet to score for the Blues.

The report claims that Wolves have approached Chelsea to gauge the availability of the two players, as well as the terms required to lure them from Stamford Bridge to Molineux.

Disasi is contracted to the London side until the end of the 2028/29 season, while Fofana’s contract is also set to expire in the Sumer of 2029.
