Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins is widely considered around the league to be a perfect piece for a championship-contending team.
The Los Angeles Lakers are likely entering a final season with their superstar LeBron James as one of the leaders of a possible championship run.

For now, the Lakers are not mentioned among the favorites to win the title, but many believe this could change if they acquire some championship pedigree additions.
One of those considered is Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins, who was a key contributor to the Golden State Warriors’ championship in 2022.
One of the people who believes Wiggins could change the trajectory of the Lakers is podcaster Jason Timpf, who, on a recent episode of Hoops Tonight podcast, said that landing Wiggins, who was an All-Star starter just three years ago, would make the Lakers an elite team.
“I do think an Andrew Wiggins trade would immediately make the Lakers a top-tier contender. He would immediately address their athleticism and defense needs," Timpf said.

“He specifically, in my opinion, is one of the top-tier, if not second tier to top tier, somewhere in that range — one of the top 10 apex defenders that you could put on an opposing star in a playoff series, and he can do it against multiple different types of stars."
“I also think he just makes a substantial upgrade in athleticism, which is what they would need. I also think he would play really well offensively off of Luka," he added.
“And I think the Lakers could pull off that trade, including Dalton [Knecht] and maybe some second-round compensation, without having to include their first-round pick," Timpf noted.
The 30-year-old Canadian forward averaged 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists last season with the Golden State Warriors and the Heat.
