The Whitehaven-born goalkeeper saved two Liverpool penalties in the shoot-out which saw Palace prevail.
Three months after Henderson's heroics helped Palace defeat Manchester City in the FA Cup final, the west Cumbrian was to the fore at the national stadium again.
The 28-year-old and his team-mates twice went behind in normal time, to goals from the Reds' Huge Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong, only to level through Jean-Philippe Mateta's penalty and an Ismaila Sarr goal.

"They [Liverpool] have unbelievable players and have a great team but two trophies in three months is incredible.
"These emotions are fantastic. With them 2-1 up you think we are out the game. The manager said we'd get chances and we did."
The Community Shield was watched by 82,645 fans as Palace claimed further silverware to add to the FA Cup which they won for the first time in May.
That day, former Whitehaven Miners Social junior player Henderson saved Omar Marmoush's penalty as Oliver Glasner's side defeated Man City 1-0.
The ex-Carlisle United academy keeper, who has three full England caps, is now preparing for the start of the Premier League campaign.
His first top-flight outing of the 2025/26 season will come next Sunday when Palace take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
