Beto will certainly be looking over his shoulders as Everton look to revolutionise under David Moyes this transfer window.

The Toffees have started to pick up pace by signing Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich and former Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall recently.

Manchester City forward Jack Grealish is another ambitious target for the Blues, with talks taking place to sign the 29-year-old on a temporary move.

As things stand, Thierno Barry boasts immense potential at the Merseyside outfit, but they may not be done yet in terms of reinforcing the number nine position.

Everton want Franculino transfer

Midtjylland striker Franculino is attracting interest from the Toffees this summer, according to Matteo Moretto.

The journalist revealed on X on 10 August that multiple teams, including the Blues, are monitoring the 21-year-old centre-forward.

It’s been claimed that the Guinea-Bissau international’s situation is one to keep an eye on in the coming weeks, with the Danish outfit valuing him at around £17.3million.

Franculino has scored six goals and provided two assists in his first three league matches this season.

Midtjylland signed the 21-year-old for free after his contract at Benfica expired.

The centre-forward has made 10 appearances for his national side.

Moyes hasn’t been happy with Beto during pre-season, with the Scottish manager criticising the striker’s performances in recent matches.

The 27-year-old was a key player for the 62-year-old head coach last season, but his standing in the squad could potentially change soon.

If the Merseyside outfit sign Franculino, Beto may have the most to lose in L5.

Beto vs Franculino: Is the young striker the future?

Franculino has had an emphatic start in the Superliga this season, and it’s no surprise to see top teams vying for his signing.

Beto has been linked with an exit from Everton this summer, and the Guinea-Bissau youngster could potentially replace him.

It would make sense for the Toffees to cash in on the 27-year-old and invest that money in the Midtjylland striker’s potential.

The former Udinese centre-forward hasn’t really set the Premier League alight since moving to Goodison Park in 2023, and he may have to pack his bags if Moyes gets a new number nine.
