Report: How Everton are currently feeling about the Tyler Dibling deal after three rejected bids

Everton are having to be patient in the pursuit of Tyler Dibling, as Southampton are playing hardball.

The promising winger looks to be at the forefront of David Moyes’ plans this August, but it’s far from easy to complete.

In a rather lengthy saga, after Everton’s initial £27 million bid for Dibling was rejected, two further bids followed.

But from what looked like an asking price of around £35 million, the Saints have managed to price the 19-year-old at £50 million in an extraordinary turn of events.

It doesn’t look like The Friedkin Group will be paying this amount, as now Everton’s true feelings have been revealed.

Everton are ‘frustrated’ with Southampton’s demand for Tyler Dibling

So far this window, the Toffees have managed to secure decent signings for decent money.

Although this appears to be the case, a Villarreal insider suggested Everton overpaid for Barry, and they’ll be looking to avoid the same situation with Dibling.

Well, these concerns have been doubled down by the Everton hierarchy, as according to The Sunday Times (10/08/25), Moyes and co are feeling ‘frustrated’ in their pursuit of the Southampton star.

The main reason for this is after three separate bids, it’s said there is a ‘huge discrepancy’ between what Everton are offering and what Will Still’s side are demanding.

Dibling is clearly talented and would make for an improvement to the Scotsman’s plans, but does this not say it all for Everton?

It’s clear what must be done next, as with 22 days left of the window, the Blues can’t be waiting around.

Everton should submit final bid for Tyler Dibling and then move on

It’s hard to blame Moyes for continuing his desire to sign the youngster, as Dibling has been compared to Paul Gascoigne.

A player of his calibre is the perfect signing for the new Toffees era, as the 19-year-old proved to be exciting in his first Premier League season.

But there is only so much the Merseyside club can do in this race, as although Everton need a couple of million to secure Dibling, the reality is that Everton must now table their final offer.

As mentioned, there is just over three weeks of the window left, and Moyes will know they can’t wait around too long, as Southampton’s stubbornness could cost Everton’s season.
