**Tottenham Hotspur have made a shocking move to sign Manchester City winger Savinho.**
According to [The Athletic](https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6545821/2025/08/11/savinho-tottenham-transfers-manchester-city/), Spurs have already opened talks with their Premier League rivals to understand what it’ll take to complete a deal.
Both clubs have spoken about a fee of around £43.3 million for the exciting Brazilian winger.
Talks are still at an early stage, and City have made it clear that they do not intend to part ways with Savinho this summer.
They consider the matter closed. However, there’s also an indication that they could be willing to negotiate further if Spurs were to table an astronomical proposal.
The Cityzens have made it clear that it would take a fee of more than £50m for them to even consider cashing in on the 21-year-old winger.
So far, Tottenham are not put off by City’s demands. Savinho has also fuelled speculation with reports claiming that he’s open to the idea of ditching Manchester for Thomas Frank’s side.
City manager Pep Guardiola is not one to stand in the way of any player who wants to leave.
However, City are in a very strong negotiating position considering the winger is under contract until June 2028, having only moved to the Etihad Stadium last summer.
Savinho will be a fantastic addition for Spurs if they can pull it off. He has adapted nicely to English football, notching three goals and 13 assists in 48 games across all competitions last season.
The Brazilian international has caught the eye with his flair, trickery, and eye for a pass. While he only managed one Premier League goal in 29 games, it’s clear to see that he can move up a gear or two.
Tottenham are already stacked for options on the right flank, having brought in Mohammed Kudus to provide competition for Brennan Johnson.
Signing Savinho might seem overkill considering all three players prefer playing on the right, but the Brazilian is versatile enough to play on the left flank, having done so many times at City.
[Heung-min Son’s emotional departure to Los Angeles FC](https://whiteheartlane.com/three-players-tottenham-should-target-to-replace-heung-min-son/) has left a void that Spurs are keen to fill, and Savinho has been earmarked as a successor to the club legend.
With James Maddison sidelined for most of the season with an ACL injury, Frank could shift Kudus into the No. 10 role while Savinho wreaks havoc on the right.
