Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has admitted Marc Guehi or Eberechi Eze could leave this summer, despite his desire to keep them.

With a few weeks remaining in the summer transfer window, one player still being linked with a potential move to Arsenal is Eberechi Eze.
Eze has a couple of years left of his contract with Crystal Palace, and teammate Marc Guehi has been linked with a move to Liverpool as he enters the final year of his deal.
Following Palace’s Community Shield win over Liverpool on Sunday, club chairman Steve Parish was asked whether it was important to keep both players at the club.
“Of course, but players come and go in football clubs, you know,” Parish said. “I mean, it’s a life cycle, isn’t it? You know, hopefully they’re still here, that’s what I’d like, but we’ll see.”

It’s certainly not the emphatic answer the Palace fans likely would have wanted to hear from Parish, and it sounds like a deal is there to be done for one or both players.
From Arsenal’s point of view, the issue is that the Gunners need to make some sales as well, both to raise money and also just to create squad space for further additions.
Arsenal’s outgoing business has been very slow so far, with only Nuno Tavares and Marquinhos making their loan exits permanent.

Mikel Arteta told the media at the weekend that Arsenal are still “actively looking at options” for incomings, so he certainly wasn’t ruling out a late move either.
But the Gunners have spent around £188m this summer, with another £17.5m potentially due in add-ons, whilst only bringing in close to £10m for their two sales so far. A lot more needs to happen before a move for Eze becomes realistic.
