Luka Doncic's weight is officially listed at 230 lbs (104 kg). However, the recent reports suggest that during the summer, Doncic lost 31 lbs (14 kg).
When Luka Doncic was officially introduced as a Los Angeles Lakers player at a press conference in February, one of the topics he addressed was the alleged concerns about him being out of shape.
Previously, it was reported that Doncic's weight gain reached 270 pounds (122.5 kg) at one point during the 2024-25 season, which would have tied him for the heaviest NBA player currently.
Luka Doncic's weight is officially listed at 230 lbs (~104 kg), but many reports indicate this number has fluctuated recently.
However, after years of criticism about his conditioning, the Slovenian superstar has returned this offseason leaner and sharper.
The most recent reports suggest that during the 2025 summer, Doncic has lost roughly 31 pounds (14 kg) ahead of EuroBasket 2025 with Slovenia and a new chapter with the Lakers.
His progress was first brought into public view with a cover feature in Men's Health, where he opened up about significant lifestyle changes—new dietary habits, sleep routines, and a revamped training regimen.
The timing of the transformation is no coincidence. In July, Doncic agreed to a three-year, $165 million contract extension with the Lakers, affirming the franchise's commitment to building around him.
Back in February, Doncic denied having weight issues, claiming it was simply not true.
"It's a motive. I know it's not true, but it's a motive. I came here to one of the biggest clubs in the history of sports, but it's a big motive in the long run," Doncic said back in February when he was introduced as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
"I think greatness is an evolution in a process," Lakers GM Rob Pelinka chipped in. "I think if you're striving for perfection as we are as an organization or as a player, you're going to have challenges to make yourself better."
Interestingly, Luka Doncic played the most minutes last season, accumulating 3,524 minutes, including the regular season and playoffs.
Anthony Davis, who was also part of the Doncic trade to the Lakers, came in second with 3,419 minutes, while Jayson Tatum was third with 3,413.
