TBR Football can now exclusively reveal how Everton boss David Moyes has convinced Jack Grealish to leave Manchester City on a season-long loan.
It’s understood that Everton have now won the race to sign Jack Grealish, who was made available by Manchester City this summer.
TBR Football revealed in June that Everton had opened talks with Grealish and we can now confirm that the Englishman is heading to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Man City told Grealish that he was free to leave the Etihad earlier this summer, and his camp have been assessing different options.
Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and former club Aston Villa were among those also spoken to, but Everton were always leading the chase.
David Moyes has told Jack Grealish he can realise World Cup dream with Everton
That being said, chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can reveal that David Moyes personally spoke to Grealish earlier this month, which has proven decisive.
Grealish is joining Everton on loan and the Toffees will be covering a significant part of the attacker’s wages for the duration of the season.

Providing further insight, Bailey explained: “I’m told that Moyes played a major role in this move.
“Grealish was very happy in the North West, but he was open to moving – and London in particular was appealing.
“However, Moyes spoke to Grealish and explained his understanding of how he sees him fitting in Everton’s system.
“Moyes believes that Grealish can go to the World Cup with England, and that was a big draw for the player.
“This is a huge coup for Everton – they have not been hugely busy so far but the business they have done, I am told they are delighted about.”
Everton still want to sign Douglas Luiz and Tyler Dibling
Fortunately for Everton fans, it’s understood that Moyes’ side are not planning to end their window at signing Grealish.
TBR Football previously revealed that Everton were interested in Juventus’ Douglas Luiz.
And with Carlo Ancelotti helping the Brazilian midfielder decide his future this summer, a move to Everton might be on the cards.
Everton want to sign Tyler Dibling as well, even if they have been frustrated in their attempts to sign the midfielder from Southampton thus far.
However, TBR Football understands that both Douglas Luiz and Tyler Dibling remain targets for Moyes’ side, who are proving their rich ambition as they start a new era at the Hill Dickinson.
