**Nicolas Jackson is a striker that Newcastle United have had an eye on for some time, as it has become more clear that Alexander Isak's time on Tyneside is drawing to a close.**
The Chelsea striker hasn't enjoyed the greatest time of things in the Premier League since his £32 million move to Stamford Bridge two years ago, but clearly Eddie Howe sees something in the Senegalese striker as it's a rumour that refuses to go away.
We've been fairly harsh on Jackson since his arrival in the Premier League, and we'd be lying if we said we were overly excited by the links.
That being said, we do trust Eddie Howe. He made players out of Joelinton and Jacob Murphy, and we'd say that they were well below Jackson's level before Howe got his hands on them, so there is hope.

Nicolas Jackson wants Newcastle switch
--------------------------------------
If Nicolas Jackson does end up being our main target to replace Alexander Isak, then the 24-year-old likely won't take much convincing, according to a report in [The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/08/10/chelsea-transfer-news-rb-leipzig-nkunku-xavi-simons-maresca/).
They believe that Jackson has told Chelsea he wants to leave, and they have agreed to sell. Jackson was left out of their friendly over the weekend and is reportedly training on his own.
There's plenty of interest in the Senegal international, but it's believed that Newcastle is his top choice as his next destination.
Is Nicolas Jackson the answer for Newcastle?
* Yep. He's better than you think
* No. He misses way too many chances

Nicolas Jackson could be available for around £60 million
---------------------------------------------------------
For us, the mere fact that he wants to come to us gives him a few more points. We are very ready to be proved wrong about him.
It will take around £60 million to get Chelsea to part with him, which, given the numbers we've been quoted for other targets, isn't bad at all.
It's a risk, but again, we trust Eddie Howe and his team. I mean, who'd have thought Dan Burn would work out as well as he did? In Eddie we trust.
