76ers set to re-sign their 22 PPG scorer

The Philadelphia 76ers are confident they will re-sign Quentin Grimes, last season’s 22 points per game scorer, who is a restricted free agent this offseason.

The Philadelphia 76ers found a true gem when they traded Caleb Martin to the Dallas Mavericks for guard Quentin Grimes.

Grimes was on fire to finish the season with the 76ers and has attracted significant attention from other teams as he entered restricted free agency this summer.

Despite the interest, Grimes is expected to remain in Philadelphia. NBA insider Jake Fischer reported that the 76ers remain confident they will reach a new deal with restricted free agent Grimes.

The organization reportedly views Grimes as a key priority this offseason but is in no rush to finalize an agreement amid ongoing negotiations.

The 25-year-old is currently eligible for a qualifying offer of $8.7 million but has not ruled out accepting it, which would make him an unrestricted free agent next summer.

According to multiple reports, including The Athletic’s Fred Katz, Grimes’ next contract is estimated to range from $40 million to $75 million over multiple years.

After a midseason trade from Dallas, Grimes averaged 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists over 28 games for Philadelphia last season.
