Jack Grealish is not the only attacker who could arrive at Everton between now and the end of the summer.

The Toffees have been keen to accelerate their recruitment process during the last few weeks of the summer window. This has included Manchester City winger Grealish, who is set to join the Merseyside club on loan.

But Everton are far from done. After a disappointing end to last season, the Blues are determined to arm David Moyes with enough firepower to compete in the Premier League.

As a result, Everton’s attack could look quite different in a couple of weeks.

Everton target Leicester City’s Abdul Fatawu

As reported by Alan Myers via X on Monday (11 August), Everton have added Abdul Fatawu to their list of targets. This comes despite the news that Grealish is set to land at the Hill Dickinson Stadium within hours.

While Leicester City only signed Fatawu permanently last summer from Sporting Lisbon, he could be tempted to seek another challenge.

11 August 2025: Everton’s reported interest in Fatawu is documented

The Ghanaian’s first taste of Premier League action was cut short after sustaining an ACL injury last November. There is no doubt that the injury was a huge blow for him as a young, hungry player determined to prove himself in the first division.

But after a solid performance in Leicester’s 2-1 victory against Sheffield Wednesday during their opening Championship game of the season on Sunday (10 August), that familiar fire looks to have been relit.

With Fatawu and Grealish on either wing, Everton could terrorise defences in the Premier League next season.

Fatawu could be a worthwhile investment

There will certainly be a level of scepticism with this transfer due to Fatawu’s previous injury blow. But his age could make it easier for the right winger to bounce back.

Fatawu has looked sharp during the handful of games he’s played upon his return. This includes netting against Fiorentina in a pre-season friendly game for the Foxes.

The Ghanaian’s golden left foot still seems to shine bright and could blind if used in the Premier League.

At only 21 years of age, Fatawu still has a lot to learn. But there seems to be no better manager than Moyes to harness his potential.

Therefore, Everton could be closing in on more than a worthwhile investment with this signing. And Moyes could walk away with his job intact next season.
