According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Manchester City have entered the race for Chelsea FC target Xavi Simons (22).

The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder joined RB Leipzig last summer on a loan agreement before he decided to leave the eventual European champions on a permanent deal during the winter transfer window.

However, Simons has since expressed his intention to leave the Bundesliga side after they failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. This sparked the interest of Chelsea, but the Premier League side are far from alone.

Manchester City are reportedly looking at bringing in Simons as a replacement ot Savinho (21), who has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur. Savinho only arrived at Manchester City last summer from ESTAC Troyes. A busy month for former Ligue 1 players, who notably made very few (or none in the case of Savinho) appearances for their former sides.
