Sunderland have reportedly received a big-money offer from Wolfsburg for one of their star players.
On the back of winning last season's Championship playoffs, the Black Cats have spent heavily as they prepare to return to the Premier League.
They are seemingly on the brink of signing Getafe defender Omar Alderete, a much-needed addition for the centre of their backline.
However, as per talkSPORT, Sunderland have a battle on their hands to retain the services of Trai Hume.
The report claims that Wolfsburg have put forward a bid of £10m in an effort to secure a deal for the Northern Ireland international.
Hume has contributed a total of six goals and nine assists from his 132 appearances since signing from Linfield in 2022.
While Sunderland will not want to sell a player who still has two years left on his contract, they are in a position to make a substantial profit on the right-back.
Rangers head coach Russell Martin on July 7, 2025
Meanwhile, Rangers are allegedly closing on their 10th signing of the summer with the acquisition of Real Betis defender Nobel Mendy.
Although Russell Martin's side have impressed in the Champions League since his arrival, Rangers have drawn their first two games in the Scottish Premiership.
As such, the pressure is on to further strengthen the first-team squad, particularly when Rangers will be playing in the Europa League in a worst-case scenario.
According to Sky Sports News, Mendy is eager to secure a transfer to Ibrox as soon as possible.
That is despite interest from other teams in Spain, but Mendy has only made six appearances for the first time at his current La Liga employers.
Nevertheless, two of those were in last season's Conference League, including a 62-minute outing in the second leg of their semi-final against Fiorentina.
Mendy is viewed as a central defender, yet he can also be deployed on the left.
Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman on March 11, 2025
Bayern Munich give green light to major sale
Over in Germany, Bayern Munich have reportedly given the green light to Kingsley Coman signing for Al-Nassr.
With Jamal Musiala sidelined in the long term, the addition of Liverpool winger Luis Diaz had strengthened Vincent Kompany's options in the final third.
However, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Belgian's attacking contingent will soon be reduced with the sale of Coman.
Al-Nassr are said to be ready to pay just below €30m (£25.97m) in order to acquire the services of the France international.
Coman has been contracted to Bayern for the past eight seasons, contributing 72 goals and 71 assists from 339 appearances in all competitions.
Even with two years left on his contract, Bayern have taken the opportunity to cash in on the 29-year-old, who will be joining the likes of Inigo Martinez, Joao Felix and Cristiano Ronaldo at the Saudi Pro League club.
