The Baltimore Ravens know that as long as two-time MVP winner Lamar Jackson is healthy, they have a puncher’s chance to go the distance and win the Super Bowl. However, as good as Jackson is, the Ravens have to get it done on the defensive side of the ball as well.
Unfortunately, the Ravens are thinning out on defense before the regular season has even arrived. Baltimore has now lost its second cornerback for the entire 2025 season, according to one prominent league insider.
“Ravens rookie CB Robert Longerbeam, a 6th-round pick out of Rutgers, suffered a torn patella tendon and will miss the entire 2025 season, per sources. A devastating injury with a long rehab ahead. Baltimore has now lost both of its 6th-round rookie CBs for the year after Bilhal Kone tore his ACL and MCL,” reported Jordan Schultz on Monday.
Fans reacted to the tough break on social media.
“Man — Ravens taking some early body blows to their defense. In a league where you can never have enough DBs, this is tough,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Hate to see this. Longerbeam was really impressive at the Shrine Bowl,” one fan added.
“Golly… this is rough. Suddenly went from deeeep corner room to needing to sign corners. Can never have enough, as EDC say,” wrote another person.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Ravens replace their missing production.
