Giants Now: Brian Baldinger breaks down rookies' tape

Brian Baldinger breaks down rookies' tape

The Giants got their preseason off to a strong start with Saturday's road victory over the Bills.

Numerous players stepped up in the victory, but with it being the very first game of their NFL careers, the performance of some of the rookies stood out.

NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger recently posted a few of his "Baldy's Breakdowns" videos on social media, and among the players highlighted were three of the Giants' first-year players.

Let's start with outside linebacker Abdul Carter, who made his presence felt despite only playing a handful of snaps. Carter was on the field for six defensive snaps, three of which were passing plays, and registered a pressure on each of his pass rush snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.

What made his performance even more impressive is who the rookie No. 3 overall pick was going up against on those snaps. He beat Bills starting right guard O'Cyrus Torrence, a second round pick from 2023, on one play and then got by four-time Pro Bowl left tackle Dion Dawkins on the other two.
