GLENDALE, Ariz. (KLTV) - Former Tyler Lion Kitan Crawford intercepted a pass in Arizona’s 20-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday.
Crawford’s interception came late in the third quarter.
Chiefs quarterback Bailey Zappe dropped back to pass on a third down at 16 at the Arizona 26-yard line. Zappe delivered the ball deep across the middle of the field and Crawford leapt up in front of the intended receiver to pick off the pass in the end zone.
Whitehouse’s Patrick Mahomes played the first drive of the game for the Chiefs and went 1-1 with a one-yard touchdown pass to Jason Brownlee.
The Chiefs will head to Seattle to battle the Seahawks on August 15, while the Cardinals travel to Denver to face the Broncos on August 16.
