David Moyes is on the verge of having his Everton squad bolstered significantly ahead of the Premier League campaign.

Everton have seen five new arrivals check in at the Hill Dickinson Stadium so far this summer, and Moyes will be intent on adding even more before the 1 September deadline.

Thierno Barry tops the list after making the move from Villarreal in a deal worth £26million, with a transfer outlay of over £75m already on Merseyside.

However, the Toffees are on the verge of welcoming a new face to the club after a deal was struck, and it could be a game-changing signing.

Jack Grealish edges closer to Everton transfer

Everton are closing in on the signing of Jack Grealish after a loan deal was agreed with Man City.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The 29-year-old has somewhat lost his way at the Etihad, having made just 20 league appearances in the Premier League last season, starting just seven of them.

However, the attacking midfielder – once described as “exceptional” by Pep Guardiola – will have a key role to play with the Toffees if the deal goes through as expected.

Career appearances – 408

Goals – 54

Assists – 61

While recent seasons may not have brought the best out of him, Grealish has an undoubted level of quality, which even once saw Jude Bellingham encourage him to make the move to Borussia Dortmund, before he himself moved on to Real Madrid.

Back in 2023, Grealish urged Bellingham to “Come to City” via a reply on his Instagram post, to which Bellingham replied: “Come to Dortmund.”

On that basis, and from what we’ve previously seen Grealish do in the Premier League, this could be a game-changing transfer that takes Everton to the next level.

Where will Grealish play for Everton?

Iliman Ndiaye was a standout for Everton last season, and he typically operates in the same area as Grealish, though the latter can play in various roles.

The 29-year-old has showcased his ability centrally, and that may prove to be the preferred position for him at Everton under Moyes.

This has the potential to be a game-changing transfer for the Toffees, and one that could take them to the next level.
