West Ham supporters will again be able to choose their team’s players in Fantasy Premier League ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
It’s unlikely that anyone who had West Ham players in their FPL sides last time around did any good, given their uninspiring 2024/25 season.
Last season, Jarrod Bowen was unsurprisingly the highest point scorer, gathering a total of 193 points thanks to his 16 goals and six assists. In comparison, the top three point scorers overall last season were Mohammed Salah (344), Bryan Mbuemo (236), and Cole Palmer (214).
After their disappointing 2024/25 campaign, the Hammers have so far struggled to strengthen their side significantly, and supporters will likely continue to add the same West Ham players to their squads from last season to boost their teams in their mini-leagues.

Bowen is the most selected West Ham player
Bowen’s future this summer has been uncertain, and the Irons have done well to keep him at the London Stadium thus far.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
Supporters will be wondering what they have done to deserve the forward, who has shown plenty of loyalty when he could have pushed for a move away.
He is West Ham’s most popular FPL asset by a significant margin.
Despite being reclassified as a forward for the new season, he is a highly owned player due to his strong performances last season and consistent point-scoring.
Bowen is priced at £8million going into the 2025/26 season and would offer supporters a handy bargain when trying to balance their squads.
The forward is priced slightly lower than Hugo Ekitike at £8.5m or Ollie Watkins at £9.0m and slightly higher than the popular £7.5m options such as Chris Wood and Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Which West Ham players should I pick?
FPL players will likely go straight for Bowen in their hunt for a points scorer in the 2025/26 campaign.
However, there are a few hidden gems within the Irons’ squad despite their hopeless 2024/25 season.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a solid option for anyone looking for a cheap option at the back.
The defender is a popular budget pick for FPL managers. He impressed in his first season at the club and is seen as a reliable, value-for-money option at a price point of £4.5m.
Given West Ham’s addition of Mads Hermansen in goal, the Irons have an opportunity to keep more clean sheets next season, therefore earning defenders more points.
On top of the Englishman, Thomas Soucek has always been a reliable points scorer over the years.
The midfielder is selected by just one per cent of managers, but managed 126 points last season and can pop up with a goal.

FPL players can make use of the new scoring metric
Thanks to the introduction of ‘Defensive contributions’ as a point-scoring metric, West Ham fans might be more inclined to pick defenders in FPL.
The Hammers are likely to be under the cosh more often than not against top sides next season, and Hermansen could gather plenty of points from saves and accumulate bonus points through that.
Previously, defenders had to contribute in the attack or keep clean sheets to score points, but this season, FPL have added a new way to score so that defenders can add more importance to your team.
Name Position Cost
Mads Hermansen GKP £4.5m
Max Kilman DEF £4.5m
Mavropanos DEF £4.5m
Wan-Bissaka DEF £4.5m
Four potential West Ham picks for defence
Players are unlikely to gain many points from West Ham attackers
The departure of Mohammed Kudus has made Potter’s attack much less of a threat going into next season.
Following his transfer to East London, Callum Wilson could provide a goal threat and is valued at £6m.
Name Position Cost
Summerville MID £5.5m
Callum Wilson FWD £6m
Niclas Fullkrug FWD £6m
These are West Ham’s options for midfield and forward positions.
Crysencio Summerville is priced at £5.5m in the 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League, but is listed as a midfielder.
The winger is worth a punt at such a cheap price, and he could be able to finally rediscover the form he had with Leeds next season.
Niclas Fullkrug is priced at £6.0m and is unlikely to fit into anyone’s squads given his dismal previous campaign.
Players are much more likely to turn to other options in attack, with higher point scorers such as Fulham’s Raul Jimenez, who scored 147 points last season, or Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen, who got 145 points last term, also available for £6.5m.

Diouf is a hidden gem for FPL
Diouf has impressed so far during preseason.
At wing-back, he has looked electric and has helped stabilise the defence.
For FPL players, he is the perfect defensive candidate and will offer both clean sheet points and possible assist points given his attacking threat over the summer.
Wan-Bissaka averaged 2.00 tackles and 1.88 interceptions per 90 last season
In comparison, Diouf averaged 1.35 tackles and 1.05 interceptions per 90

The defender is priced at just £4.5m, and players could be tempted to partner him with Wan-Bissaka at the back.

Should I get West Ham players in my team?
West Ham players can prove valuable next season.
Despite their misfortunes on and off the pitch, it is worth bringing in Hammers’ players as possible backups or starters.
Following a poor 2024/25 campaign, players can take advantage of their cheap prices and score plenty of points.
The Hammers will be eased into the 2025/26 campaign and have one of the lowest fixture difficulty ratings over their first six games.
West Ham’s first six fixtures include matches against Sunderland, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, and Everton. According to the FDR, none of these matches are rated higher than a 3 (where 5 is the most difficult).
If you want to use Hammers’ players in your side, August and September is the time.
