Leeds United handed a huge boost ahead of Everton game

After Saturday’s game against AC Milan, Leeds United fans can now be confident ahead of the Everton game. Daniel Farke revealed that there were some injuries piling up in camp after the Villarreal game.

It was part of the reasons why the Leeds boss asked the club for some reinforcements. Five players missed the game against Villarreal due to knocks. However, most of them returned to the squad for the AC Milan game.

Another player who will be fit for the Everton game is Lucas Perri. The Brazilian started the AC Milan game, but only played 45 minutes. He had just returned from injury, which Daniel Farke revealed could take a while to fully recover from.

But Perri has now confirmed that he is at a 100% and will make the Everton game:

“I’m totally fit,” Perri confirmed. “I had a minor problem with a hamstring three weeks ago, and then I had the transfer. They [medical staff] took a really slow approach to [my] return but now I’m fully fit 100%. I’m ready to go.”

Leeds now have a huge boost after Bogle was also confirmed to return this week.

Goalkeeping situation still undecided

The club will have to submit their 25-man squad list for the season in a couple of weeks. But the problem is that there are currently four goalkeepers under contract. With the club rejecting a bid for Karl Darlow recently, and Alex Cairns set to stay, there could be a problem.

Illan Meslier is most likely the keeper that will be sold, or left off the registration list for this season. Until the full squad list is out, no one will know Daniel Farke’s final decision.

Everton problems could hand Leeds shock result

Leeds could be placed for a shock result next Monday. Everton boss David Moyes is yet to confirm the injury status of a few players. The toffees are also rushing to add players to their squad. This could mean Daniel Farke’s side face a relatively weaker Everton team at this point in the season.

With how pre-season has gone, Leeds should be confident of a result next week.
