Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis can now unleash an exciting plan after being confirmed in the Europa League following CAS’s decision.

Crystal Palace have lost their CAS appeal, meaning Nottingham Forest have retained their spot in Europe’s second-tier competition.

Forest fans have sent an honest message to Palace, with many somewhat understanding of their frustrations, but ultimately, the consensus is that the rules are the rules.

All that’s behind both clubs now and finally, Evangelos Marinakis and Forest supporters have much-needed clarity.

With that brings a new plan that is now set to be unleashed by the Greek businessman.

Evangelos Marinakis set to unleash exciting Nottingham Forest plan

Nottingham Forest could earn up to £30m from the Europa League, which is double the cash on offer in the Conference League.

So, evidently, CAS’s final decision will allow Forest to spend a bit more freely in the window, and that’s exactly what Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett is reporting.

Dorsett explains that Marinakis has had to put deals on hold during this period but will now sanction a spending spree to end the window.

James McAtee is on the verge of joining Forest, and there will be more exciting additions to follow in the remaining three weeks.

The window slams shut on September 1st.

Nottingham Forest could accelerate Douglas Luiz deal

Douglas Luiz has been linked to Forest all summer, but there’s been a delay in recent weeks, and it appears as though it may have been due to the CAS decision.

Now that Forest have clarity, the deal to sign Luiz could accelerate with Juventus demanding around £34m to sanction his sale.

The same goes for Ademola Lookman, who’s admired by Nuno and his chief but would cost in excess of £40m.

Adama Traore could be another target that the club will now look to push ahead with, as he’s believed to be keen on a move to the City Ground.
