Celtics Have Waived Key Forward Prospect

The Boston Celtics continue to tweak their roster as the upcoming NBA season draws closer.

On Sunday, the team announced that they have waived Miles Norris, who came to the team on a two-way contract last season.

During his time with the Celtics, he participated in 44 G League games with the Maine Celtics and averaged 16.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.0 steals over 30.5 minutes on average.

The Celtics have been busy lately.

They recently traded away Georges Niang, signed Chris Boucher, and added two-way player RJ Luis Jr.

Many people predicted this move from Boston, because most didn’t see any room for Norris in the new season.

Even in the Summer League, Norris wasn’t starting often, and that was an ominous sign for him.

Now, he will work to find a new home in the NBA, but it’s not clear if fans will see him in regular-season games or strictly in the G League next year.

Simply put, we don’t know when we will hear from Norris again.

As for the Celtics, everyone is wondering what they will do next.

They haven’t stopped making slight adjustments, but time is running out, and training camp will be starting soon.

That means the Celtics will need to slow down and focus on the squad they have built over the summer.

Everyone knows the Celtics could have a very tough season ahead, with several players leaving and the loss of Jayson Tatum to injury.

But a few smart and strategic changes could be enough to keep them in the mix in the East.
