Shane Battier played with many great players during his 13 years in the NBA.
After all, he was part of two championship squads.
Battier battled alongside LeBron James and Dwyane Wade during their amazing run with the Miami Heat.
But, according to Battier, one player was a better passer than both of them: Tracy McGrady.
“I used to yell at LeBron and DWade and I’m like dude you want an assist hit me in the chest and they be throwing at my ankles. T-Mac never missed a pass,” Battier said, via Legion Hoops.

Toward the end of his career, Battier moved to the Heat and averaged 5.1 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assists during his three seasons with the team.
He worked closely with James and Wade, who were two of the biggest names in the league.
The iconic duo of James and Wade was one of the biggest reasons the team was so competitive, and they were front and center when they won the NBA championship twice.
Great as they were together, Battier preferred getting passes from McGrady.
That isn’t too surprising, because McGrady has received countless accolades for his play-making abilities and the way that he could find his teammates on the court.
During his 16 seasons, McGrady averaged 4.4 assists per game and hit a career-high of 6.5 during his years with the Rockets.
Unsurprisingly, Battier was with him when he reached those heights.
No matter what Battier says, the combination of James and Wade will be talked about for years to come.
Their passing abilities could be up for debate, but no one can deny just how explosive they were on the court together.
