Ex-Aaron Rodgers teammate says QB can make Super Bowl

Not everyone thinks Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is too far past his prime.

In fact, his old Packers teammate Brett Favre thinks Rodgers “still has the potential to lead a team to the Super Bowl," according to TMZ Sports.

“He can still play,” Favre said to TMZ. “There’s no question.”

The Jets and Rodgers parted ways in March after two disappointing seasons in New York for the four-time NFL MVP. He signed a one-year deal with the Steelers in June.

“If he can stay relatively injury-free, I think the guy can bring a lot of victories to the table,” Favre said.

Rodgers’ 2023 season ended after four snaps when he tore his Achilles in Week 1 against the Bills. Expectations going into 2024 with a healthy Rodgers were once again sky-high, but the 41-year-old’s time in New York was generally a disappointment.

In 17 games last season, Rodgers went 5-12. He completed 63% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
