Wolves are preparing for the start of the new 2025/26 Premier League season
Wolves have the opportunity to bring in some more players before the end of the transfer window. The Midlands outfit could look to further freshen up their ranks. They have until the deadline on Monday 1st September to get some bodies through the door.
The likes of Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri have left them since the end of last season. Vitor Pereira is preparing for his first full campaign at the helm. The Portuguese boss has made a positive impression since his move to England.
Wolves want Nicolo Savona
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Wolves are a ‘key candidate’ to sign Juventus defender Nicolo Savona. The report suggests the player is valued at around the £17million mark. In addition, Newcastle United and AFC Bournemouth have also been mentioned as potential suitors.
Savona, 22, has been on the books of his current club for his whole career to date. He has risen up through their academy ranks and was a regular at various different youth levels. The Italy youth international is now facing an uncertain future in Serie A.
He made his debut for Juventus back in 2024 and he has since gone on to make 40 appearances in all competitions, 28 of which have come in Serie A, and he has chipped in with two goals. The right-back has also had a loan spell away in the past at SPAL to get some experience under his belt. His current deal expires in 2030 so he still has plenty of time left to run.
Would Nicolo Savona suit Wolves?
