Evangelos Marinakis is ready to spend big in the final few weeks of the window now that he has clarity from UEFA on what competition Forest will be playing in.
The Europa League will give Nuno Espirito Santo a much bigger budget, and he’s now considering whether to spend a large sum of it on a Championship star.

Nottingham Forest weighing up another bid for Omari Hutchinson
Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Omari Hutchinson and have already seen a £35m bid rejected by Ipswich Town.
The Championship promotion hopefuls want around £40m to sanction his sale, and according to Sky Sports, Forest are considering whether to make another offer.

It’s understood Hutchinson wants to return to the Premier League, so personal terms aren’t expected to be an issue.
Brentford have also been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old winger, though, Forest should be the favourites given the lure of Europa League football.
Pele once praised Omari Hutchinson
Speaking back in March 2024, Hutchinson explained that football legend Pele was really impressed by his skills during a tournament at Brentford when he was a child.
“We were playing at Brentford’s training ground and you had the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, a lot of the top teams from across the world there,” the Ipswich talisman said.
“After the tournament finished, they gathered everyone together and picked one player from each team to showcase their skills.
“Everyone at Arsenal was shouting my name to go forward so I did a few skills. And Pele said a few nice words to me and let me sit on his knee. We then took a group photo with him.
“My grandmother Gloria is a huge fan of Pele. She loved him to bits so for me to see him and rest on his knee was a dream come true for her. She used to get me a lot of Pele posters, books, stuff like that to hang around my wall.”
