Jordan Love Has Honest Admission About His Contract Extension

When the Green Bay Packers moved on from Aaron Rodgers, they entered into a mostly unknown quarterback situation with Jordan Love.

The front office saw something in him at Utah State to take a shot on him with a late first-round pick, but college tape doesn’t always translate to the pros.

Love had a few years to sit behind Rodgers and learn from one of the best quarterbacks in the league over the past two decades, but fans were still curious to see how he’d perform when given his opportunity.

Thankfully, he responded well when Rodgers left ahead of the 2023 season, throwing for nearly 4,200 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

This was enough for the team to sign him to a massive contract extension, which he recently talked about on SiriusXM Radio.

He was asked about what it was like to receive a contract like that after one year of full-time play, and Love responded, talking about his gratitude to the franchise.

“The biggest thing was just knowing that the organization has the confidence in me to be able to lead this team,” Love said.

Love’s numbers took a dip in 2024, but that was largely due to an injury he suffered early in the season, along with some injuries to his top wideouts.

There’s reason for Packers fans and the front office to be excited about what he can produce in 2025, and that the future of the QB position looks bright in Green Bay for the foreseeable future.

His teammates and coaches seem to appreciate his work ethic, and with the Packers’ faithful giving their support, Love has all the tools to succeed and lead this team on another deep playoff run.
