UCL winner on verge of Everton loan switch

**Everton are on the verge of securing Jack Grealish on a season-long loan.**

The Manchester City playmaker has been on David Moyes’ radar all summer and is now preparing to finalise a temporary switch to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Grealish is understood to be keen to be registered in time to make the Blues’ squad which will take on Leeds in next Monday’s Premier League opener.

City are aiming to see the England international’s £300,000 per week salary covered during his spell away, which could see the deal cost up to £12 million.

An option to make the deal permanent is expected to be included in Everton’s move for Grealish, whose prospects have dwindled at the Etihad Stadium.

The £100M signing was part of City’s treble-winning side but subsequently fell out of favour and was omitted from England’s Euro 2024 squad last summer.

Pep Guardiola also overlooked Grealish for his side’s Club World Cup involvement after making just seven league starts in the previous campaign.

But the Birmingham-born player is believed to see the move to Merseyside as a potential chance to reignite his career ahead of next year’s World Cup.

Moyes remains keen for Everton to strengthen their squad options ahead of the new season with nine first-team players departing at the end of June.

Talks over a deal for Tyler Dibling, meanwhile, remain at an impasse with Southampton holding out for £50M to part with their homegrown winger.
