After the Browns' 30-10 win against the Panthers on Aug. 8, they returned to Cleveland and went to work early Monday morning at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus.
Following Monday's practice, the Browns will head to Philadelphia on Tuesday for hold two joint practices against the Eagles. Then, they will play in their second preseason game at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Monday's practice began with individual drills but later shifted to 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills. Most notably, QB Kenny Pickett threw three consecutive touchdown passes to TE David Njoku , WR Jerry Jeudy and WR Kaden Davis.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski explained that the Browns have practiced against the Eagles in joint practices over the last few years. The last time the Browns traveled to Philadelphia was August 2023, and the last time the Eagles visited Cleveland was three years ago in 2022.
"We do this with organizations that we have a ton of respect for," Stefanski said. "I think Coach (Nick) Sirianni does an amazing job with those guys. Obviously, it's a very, very good football team, defending champs, but it's a great challenge for our football team. We're looking forward to getting a lot of good work done in Philly. But before that, we got a good day out here on these fields and then we'll get on the airplane tomorrow."
Jeudy echoed Stefanski's excitement to travel to Philadelphia and believes the offense has progressed recently.
"It's always great to be able to compete against other teams, other than ourselves," Jeudy said. "So, I'm just excited to go out there, make plays, execute our plays and do what we're supposed to do."
