The Philadelphia Eagles played against the Cincinnati Bengals for their first preseason game on Thursday and won 34-27. They officially transition into Week 4 of training camp and will have joint practices with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday and Thursday. The Eagles will wrap up this week by playing against the Browns for their second preseason game on Saturday.
Unfortunately, one of their standout offensive lineman exited Sunday’s practice with an injury.

Landon Dickerson suffered an apparent right knee injury during Sunday’s practice and was carted off the field. He underwent an MRI on Monday to determine the severity. Many fans held their breath, hoping Dickerson had avoided a season-ending injury given his history of torn ACLs in both knees during college at Florida State and Alabama.

According to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network,Landon Dickerson sustained a meniscus injury and will undergo surgery. He had the option to either undergo a meniscus trim and miss some time or the full repair that would sideline him for the entire season. Ultimately, the doctors opted for the minor procedure, and Dickerson is considered week-to-week with hopes of being ready for the start of the regular season.

Brett Toth is expected to replace the three-time Pro Bowler for the time being. Toth got the starting nod at left guard against the Cincinnati Bengals and has since taken first-team reps during training camp with Dickerson sidelined. Other players in the mix include Matt Pryor, Kenyon Green, and Trevor Keegan.
