The Detroit Pistons were the surprise team in the NBA last season after they went from having the league’s worst record the prior two seasons to making the playoffs as the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
Of course, Cade Cunningham’s breakout campaign was a major reason for the Pistons’ success last season but they also did a solid job of building a roster that included both young and veteran players that included Tobias Harris, Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren.

Now the Pistons will look to improve even more next season as they try to take advantage of the weakened East due to multiple injuries to major star players in the conference.
Despite this, Detroit did lose some key players this offseason as Tim Hardway Jr. and Dennis Schroder left in free agency, though the Pistons did sign both Caris LeVert and Duncan Robinson.
Detroit also made another addition to their roster on Monday as they signed veteran forward Javonte Green, leaving the franchise with only one more roster space to fill before next season.
Pistons looking to bring back Malik Beasley

Of course, Beasley is currently being investigated due to gambling allegations and his future in the NBA remains a mystery.
Despite this, it appears as though the Pistons are looking to bring back the three-point sharpshooter if his off-court issues are cleared.
Last season, Beasley played a major role in Detroit’s success as he put together one of the best seasons of his NBA career.

The 28-year-old guard averaged 16.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 43.0% from the field and 41.6% from three-point range.
Beasley finished last season second in made three-pointers behind Anthony Edwards and he also finished second in the Sixth Man of the Year voting behind Payton Pritchard.
After his incredible season last year, it is not a surprise that the Pistons want to bring back the veteran guard for next season but if the investigation takes too long, it may force Detroit to look elsewhere to fill their final roster spot.
