While appearing on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd“, former Super Bowl Champion and current FS1 analyst Greg Jennings discussed how he is not buying into Aaron Rodgers being able to lead the Pittsburgh Steelers to succeed this season.
“I’m not that high on the Steelers; in fact, I’m not high on them at all. A lot of it has to do with the fact that he doesn’t have what he needs to be successful. Rodgers has lost the ability to extend plays, and he doesn’t have the playmakers on the outside he once had. He needs that. He’s not a terrible quarterback, but he won’t have consistency at this stage of his career.”
Aaron Rodgers played in all 17 games for the New York Jets last season and completed 368 of 584 (63.0%) of his passes for 3,897 yards with 28 passing touchdowns to 11 interceptions.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been attempting to build a win-now team this season after adding quarterback Aaron Rodgers, wide receiver DK Metcalf, and cornerback Jalen Ramsey, among others. In a difficult AFC North, it will be interesting to see how Rodgers looks in 2025.
