Former Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto spoke about his old team after featuring for Como in Sunday’s 5-0 hammering in the Gamper Trophy.
Goals from Fermin Lopez, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha did the damage for Hansi Flick’s side as they picked up another pre-season win.
Roberto was impressed with Barca and admitted that Yamal in particular was unstoppable.
“Against Barça , you have to take advantage of every chance; they’re a machine that never stops scoring goals,” he said, via Mundo Deportivo.
“I think they’re continuing on the same path as last year, and I hope they continue like this. I’ve really enjoyed watching them play.
”Lamine ‘s ceiling is whatever he sets for himself. He’s doing very well and has incredible potential for his age. I encourage him to continue with the same dynamic and I’m sure he’ll do great things at this club.“
The 33-year-old also admitted he loved being back at his former club and to have the chance to say familiar faces and Barca fans once again.
“I was very excited to be able to see my old teammates again and return home,” he added.
“To be able to say goodbye like this, with those chants and with the support of the people, has been a very nice moment for me. Very happy.”
Barcelona’s pre-season friendlies are now all wrapped up. Next up, it’s a game against Mallorca on Saturday.
