Attacker reveals why he joined Chelsea–Midfielder delighted with Summer move–Chelsea working get£80M deal done

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation that you may have missed from icchelseanews…

CHELSEA striker Marc Guia has opened up and revealed that he is very excited about joining Sunderland on loan this transfer window, after the Blues made the decision to loan the young Spaniard out for the next 12 months.

Guiu has barely had a sniff last term despite impressing over the club’s pre-season tour of the United States over the summer. Signed for as little as £5million from Barcelona, the 18-year-old striker has made only a handful appearances in all competitions last season for the Blues.

But after only a few days of speculation and rumours, the club confirmed on the club website that Guia will now spend the next 12 months at Sunderland after the Northern club came calling showing an interest.

After joining Sunderland, the 19-year-old said: “I’m feeling great and really looking forward to the season ahead. I see myself as a powerful striker, who can make a difference on and off the ball, and I pride myself on being a natural goalscorer.

‘This year is a huge opportunity for me to help take this team where it truly deserves to be, and I can’t wait to get started.”

He needs game time, he needs minutes and he needs to play on a regular basis, if that is not happening at Stamford Bridge – then a loan move is the right thing to do for the lad that is for sure.

Hopefully he gets the game time he needs to keep on developing over the next 12 months.

Drewsbury Hall excited

Kiernan Drewsbury-Hall has opened up and revealed that David Moyes was one of the main reasons why he made the move to Everton this summer window, after deciding to leave CHELSEA.

The 26-year-old followed Enzo Maresca from Leicester to Chelsea last summer but was almost immediately linked with a transfer after struggling for game time at the Bridge, and now his move away from Chelsea have been confirmed by the Blues.

“For me to leave my old club, it would have had to have been for something special, a project that I really believed in. After speaking to the manager and seeing the ambitions with the new stadium and everything, it felt like the right club, it felt like the right fit for me for the next step.

“[Moyes] said he’s been admiring me for a while; he loves the way I play and just explained to me what he sees me doing in my role in this team. That’s what you want to hear as a player.

“I have enormous respect for him, he’s a legend of the game, so it’ll be a pleasure to work under him.”

On his latest signing, Moyes said: “We are pleased that Kiernan has chosen to join Everton. He had other clubs interested in signing him but he was excited by the opportunity and the challenge at Everton.

“Kiernan’s quality and experience of the Premier League gives us the hope that he can adapt quickly.

“We look forward to working with him and I’m sure all Evertonians will give him the support he needs.”

Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman said: “In a loan acquisition, we not only have to convince the player but also the parent Club, and we thank Chelsea for placing their trust in us. Most importantly, Marc wanted to come to Sunderland and be a part of our Club.

‘The competition for his signature was significant, and he had many high-quality options this summer, so we are delighted he’s joined Sunderland. Marc’s a progressive striker who has key attributes that align with the role in our team. In addition to providing a threat in the final third, we believe there are many other ways he can impact games, and we look forward to helping him do that throughout the 2025-26 season.”

CHELSEA TRYING TO SELL JACKSON

Journalist Ben Jacobs has opened up and claimed that Chelsea have offered striker Nicolas Jackson to the likes of Manchester United, Newcastle and Milan in a bid to get him off the books this transfer window.

CHELSEA have already bolstered their attacking options this summer with a £30 million deal to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town and a £60m move for Joao Pedro from Brighton last month, and there is talk that they will continue their summer of spending.

The Athletic report that Jackson is not deemed as ‘untouchable’ at Chelsea and could be sold if they receive a high enough offer.

And after suffering their lowest goalscoring tally in Premier League history last season (44), the Red Devils could still look to strengthen their front line by signing Jackson, as per BBC Sport.

Now, according to Jacobs, the club have been offering the striker to a number of clubs in order to get him out the club – He took to X.com and said: “Jackson has been offered to Newcastle, Manchester United and Milan recently.

“Former two clubs decided to focus on Benjamin Sesko instead of engaging now.

“There remains a realistic chance Jackson leaves with several clubs keen and likely to approach Chelsea in August.”

IcChelseanews Says…

Despite all the arrivals that have come to CHELSEA this summer, we can see the Blues keeping hold of Jackson as he is a very good option to have in that side. He has scored 30 goals in 81 games for the Blues and Enzo Maresca will surely continue to use the man next season
