Leeds United’s Premier League campaign gets underway in less than a week’s time and there’s still a lot of work to be done in Daniel Farke’s squad.
A 1-1 draw out in Dublin against European giants AC Milan brought the final touches to Daniel Farke’s preparations for the upcoming Premier League campaign, where he’s hoping for movement between now and United’s home test against Everton.
It’s been all quiet on the transfer front since late July, Lucas Perri being the most recent arrival on the 26th of last month.

His release clause expires on Friday, with contrasting reports of the clause’s value – The Telegraph’s John Percy stating it stands at a fee in excess of £30million.
An issue for Leeds is that Newcastle United are also keen after a torrid summer of rejection left, right and centre, needing fresh attacking signings as they approach another Champions League campaign.
Tottenham have also been recently named in the running, but their growing interest in Man City’s Savinho might see their attempts for EL Khannouss shift down the list of priorities.

The YEP’s Graham Smyth revealed Leeds’ interest in the versatile wide man following the AC Milan friendly, having scored five goals and notched four assists in 38 Juventus appearances.
Reports from Italy claim that the winger is likely to leave the Turin giants and is now considering his options, Leeds potentially being one of those that could spring a move, while the linked report suggests Saudi Arabia is another possibility.
Diogo Monteiro seals permanent Leeds United exit to Portugal
On outgoings, U21 defender Diogo Monteiro has completed a permanent exit out of the club, having joined back in January 2023.
The Swiss-born Portugal youth international heads to Liga Portugal with a transfer to FC Arouca, currently sitting third in the table after an opening day win.
Monteiro was in the final 12 months of his contract at the club, leaving on a permanent deal.

Greenwood is in the final year of his contract too, and has shown off some solo training footage on Instagram as he awaits his Elland Road exit.
Liam Cooper could be joining Sheffield Wednesday
Stricken Championship club Sheffield Wednesday have a 60-man shortlist of signings they intend to work through now that their embargo has been lifted – but still working with only free transfers and loans.
The Star relays reports that one name potentially considered as a free agent is former Leeds icon Liam Cooper, a year on from his left-field exit to CSKA Sofia.
Cooper departed the Bulgarian side by mutual consent and could be offered a route back to EFL action at Hillsborough, who are in dire need of numbers and experience in their squad.
Jack Grealish in: Everton showing Leeds United how to get deals done before PL showdown
While Leeds fans worry about the chance of new additions before the Everton clash next Monday, the Toffees are getting to work.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall arrived from Chelsea for an initial £25million to strengthen midfield options, while Jack Grealish is due to be announced imminently on loan from Manchester City.
The blue half of Merseyside will be in agreement that their squad still needs plenty of work to resemble one capable of progress into the top half, but with Grealish, Dewsbury-Hall, and Iliman Ndiaye supporting Beto or new signing Thierno Barry, David Moyes has plenty of firepower to bring to LS11.
