Manchester United have more work to do in the transfer market and an exciting double move is still in play.
More new faces could arrive at Manchester United before the transfer deadline, even after deals for Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
Two key names are being prominently linked, Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba.
United are attempting to sell players to fund deals, and insider Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on the potential incomings.

Gianluigi Donnarumma latest
Paris Saint-Germain have signed Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, which already posed major questions for Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future.
Donnarumma’s contract expires in 2026, and there is now no question of the Italian being kept around to fight for his place, after he was omitted from PSG’s Super Cup squad.
Speaking to YouTube, Fabrizio Romano clarified: “I think there is a concrete chance for Donnarumma to leave now, immediately.”
He added that the Premier League is Donnarumma’s most likely destination, with Manchester United among three suitors.

Romano cited City holding previous interest in Donnarumma that now looks less likely due to their recent signing of James Trafford.
He also mentioned Chelsea as a potential suitor despite their current commitment to Robert Sanchez, and determination to strengthen in other areas.
Regarding Manchester United, he explained that an incoming could depend on the likelihood of being able to sell or loan either Andre Onana or Altay Bayindir. United In Focus has reported that United would be willing to sanction a loan exit if a big name first choice was brought in.
He said: “Manchester United are looking for a new goalkeeper, they have to find a solution for one of their goalkeepers, they have to decide how much they want to invest in a new goalkeeper.
“There is [Senne] Lammens, a goalkeeper with a completely different salary. I think this story is quite open.”
Donnarumma is a name that clubs had not anticipated would hit the transfer market, and when a player like this becomes available, clubs like Manchester United can alter plans to take advantage of the opportunity. As Romano notes, this situation is clearly developing and far from being resolved.
Carlos Baleba latest
Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba is generating interest from Manchester United, with contact already made with his agents.
Baleba is the opposite of Donnarumma, who would command a relatively small fee and low wages.
The Brighton star could potentially be a Manchester United club record fee, yet is currently on a low salary at his current club.
Romano reports the next stage is for Manchester United to hold initial talks with Brighton to explore a deal, having received encouragement from the player’s side.
He explains: “Manchester United remain in contact [with the player]. I expect Manchester United to try and understand the situation with Brighton, if they have a chance to negotiate, or if it’s going to be really impossible to break that wall that Brighton put around their top players.
“Baleba is not closing doors to Man Utd, personal terms will not be an issue, then on club side, work still needed.”
Similar to the Donnarumma situation, this is a deal in the early stages, but that is where the similarities end.
PSG are ready to cash in on Donnarumma, while Brighton are resistant to the idea of losing Baleba and would demand a hefty fee.
This one is a little more advanced due to the encouragement United have received from Baleba’s camp, but these are deals that will continue to take shape and are not anywhere near closed yet, if at all.
