Lakers refused to trade two players

The Los Angeles Lakers are unlikely to make any more trades soon, opting to hold onto players like Gabe Vincent and Jarred Vanderbilt.

Despite recent trade interest, the Los Angeles Lakers are likely done making moves — at least for now — according to Sean Deveney of Athlon Sports.

Weight: 85 kg

Birth place: United States of America

The team has reportedly had opportunities to include guard Gabe Vincent and forward Jarred Vanderbilt in trade packages, but has chosen not to.

"They have not been attacking the trade market by any stretch of the imagination," one Western Conference executive told Deveney. "Most teams now are in a sort of wait-and-see mode, and I would include the Lakers in that. They want to give it some time before they make a trade."

Vincent averaged 6.4 points per game last season. The Lakers value him as a reliable veteran off the bench, and he has just one year left on his $11.5 million contract. The 29-year-old joined Los Angeles in 2023.

Vanderbilt, 26, posted 4.1 points and 5.1 rebounds over 36 games last season. He has been with the Lakers for two and a half seasons.

This offseason, the Lakers have already reshaped their roster by adding guard Marcus Smart, center Deandre Ayton, and wing Jake LaRavia, while also extending Luka Doncic and LeBron James.
