Savinho believes Thomas Frank can offer him something at Tottenham Pep Guardiola may be unable…

Savinho’s uncertain future is one of the biggest talking points at Manchester City currently.

After his promising debut season, it seemed like the Brazilian could kick on at the Etihad Stadium in the following campaign — similarly to Leroy Sane who showed similar flashes of brilliance when he first joined City before morphing into a world-class winger.

However, Savinho is open to joining Tottenham Hotspur in a summer where Spurs have also been linked with Jack Grealish and James McAtee.

Manchester City’s asking price for Savinho is in excess of £50 million, having signed him from Troyes as recently as in the summer of 2024.

Savinho feels Thomas Frank can make him a regular starter at Tottenham

Manchester City News exclusively revealed on Monday that Pep Guardiola’s men are eyeing Rodrygo as the 21-year-old’s replacement.

With three goals and 12 assists to his name in all competitions last season, Savinho has shown that over time, he could develop into an excellent winger.

However, with the 2026 World Cup in mind, Savinho believes Thomas Frank could make him a regular starter at Tottenham, according to Fabrizio Romano, who told DAZN Football: “He feels that at Tottenham, with Thomas Frank, he can be a regular starter, has the chance to also play more for the World Cup starting next summer.”

“So, keep an eye on Savinho and Tottenham because this opportunity is really, really concrete.”

Pep Guardiola’s stance on Savinho

The Sao Mateus-born technician started 33 games in all competitions for Manchester City last season.

In the Premier League alone, the former Atletico Mineiro forward started in 21 games before losing his place at the end of the campaign, which signals that he played plenty of football for a young player.

Pep Guardiola claimed Savinho has “incredible potential” and if he can score goals and assists on a consistent basis, he will eventually become an “extraordinary player.”

With that being the case, it seems likely Savinho would play regular football at Manchester City next season but it seems like his head has been turned by Tottenham.
