Transfer news LIVE: Arsenal have Eze rival; new Isak to Liverpool twist; Man Utd want Baleba; Rodrygo battle

Eberechi Eze, Alexander Isak and Carlos Baleba

Targets: Eberechi Eze, Alexander Isak and Carlos Baleba

Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United are all still pushing hard to finalise deals before the summer deadline, which has already proven to be a record-breaking window. Eberechi Eze, fresh from winning the Community Shield, is said to have agreed a move to the Gunners, but Tottenham are now said to have launched a bid. Arsenal also face competition from Man City for Rodrygo, and have interest in Anthony Gordon.

Manchester United have completed a £200million makeover of their forward line, having unveiled Benjamin Sesko to fans over the weekend, and have now turned to signing Carlos Baleba and have already seen their opening bid, which included a player in part-exchange, rejected. Gianluigi Donnarumma is another target, having been told to find a new club by Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea are expected to sign Alejandro Garnacho, but could miss out on Xavi Simons as Man City look for a replacement for Tottenham target Savinho. Alexander Isak continues to push for a move to Liverpool amid suggestions that Yoane Wissa could be of interest at Anfield. Follow the latest transfer news, gossip and rumours live below!

Standard Sport understands a swap deal involving Christopher Nkunku has been explored, with the Frenchman open to a move back to his former club, though Leipzig are not convinced by the offer.

According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, City’s move for the Dutchman is contingent on Savinho’s departure from the Etihad, with Tottenham in talks over a move.

He is entering the final year of his contract and is not set to extend his deal as the club usher him to the exit door.

As such, he will not travel with PSG to contest the UEFA Super Cup in a significant boost for Tottenham, who are looking to win a second European title of 2025.

PSG have no interest in extending Donnarumma’s deal and would prefer to sell him this summer rather than allow him to leave for free next year, according to widespread reports.

Man United are poised to take full advantage of the situation, with the keeper thought to be available for as little as £26m.

Liverpool remain interested in the player, but will only tender another bid if Newcastle open the door for them to do so.

Newcastle still need to bring in attacking reinforcements before they would let him go. They are focused on Yoane Wissa after missing out on deals for Benjamin Sesko, Hugo Ekitike, and Joao Pedro.

Standard Sport understands the bid eclipses the £34million fee, including add-ons, that Fulham paid for Emile Smith Rowe last summer.

Spurs are in positive talks to sign Man City’s Savinho, but could still move for Eze as Thomas Frank looks to bolster his attack.

He is thought to be available for about £68m, and Crystal Palace are braced for offers after missing out on a Europa League berth yesterday.

The 31-year-old Swede, capped 71 times, is currently a free agent and is thought to be keen to work with Erik Ten Hag again. He left United when his contract expired at the end of last season.

Grimsby head coach David Artell said: “I’m really pleased that Jude has chosen to join the team. He’s an exciting talent with a great pedigree and a player we have been watching for some time. He will add great competition to our forward line this season and we are really excited to work with him.”

The report claims United are looking to pip Liverpool to a deal for the centre-back, but their approaches so far are simply exploratory.
