Manchester United have reinforced their attack with three top signings this summer, and must now focus on improving things at the back.

The Red Devils conceded 54 goals in the Premier League last season and Cameroonian shot stopper, Andre Onana, was one of their biggest weak links.

News –Deal close – Man Utd set to seal signing of English player

To replace the African goalie at Man Utd, Ruben Amorim has set his sights on hiring the services of Italian international, Gianluigi Donnarumma.

As per Spanish source, Fichajes, the deal to sign the Azzurri superstar from PSG is expected to be around £43.3million (50 million euros), and United are preparing the offer as they consider the figure a huge market opportunity.

Donnarumma is one of the best goal keepers in world football and at 26, he has a long career head of him.

The former AC Milan shot stopper’s current contract at the Parc de Princes will expire next year and PSG have not been able to agree a new deal with him that he actually deserves.

Instead, a replacement in the form of Lucas Chevalier has already been recruited from Ligue 1 side, Lille.

The 74-capped international, who is now the captain of the senior Italian side, was a key member of the squad that lifted the European championships trophy back in 2021.

Last term, he was brilliant under Luis Enrique as PSG went on to win their maiden UEFA Champions League title.

For a world class proven quality star, who is in his peak years, the price of £43.3million should be considered as a bargain and Man Utd must pounce to sign Donnarumma.

The Red Devils might be able to match his wage demands, but the real issue is, they cannot offer a better sporting project than most top clubs in Europe.

After winning the UCL and featuring in the Club World Cup final, do you think Donnarumma would like to join Man Utd to take no part in any European competition next term?
