Having largely struggled at Manchester City, Jack Grealish could soon have the chance to silence his detractors once his loan move to Everton becomes official.
Grealish’s move to Everton is imminent, with the transfer expected to be completed on Tuesday.
With the 29-year-old having two consecutive seasons to forget at Manchester City, he will be determined to deliver as David Moyes’ star player next season.
Unlike Tottenham, who asked about signing Grealish, Everton seemed to have made their mind to secure his services on loan come what may — and their single-mindedness will be rewarded shortly.

However, it is important to consider that at Manchester City, Jack Grealish has become a serial winner — lifting three Premier League titles, a Champions League in a treble-winning season, the UEFA Super Cup and the FA Cup.
While David Moyes personally wanted to sign Grealish, some may have assumed that the former Aston Villa winger would have hesitated about joining the Merseyside-based club as they last won a trophy in 1995.

Grealish was keen on joining Everton and the Daily Mail reported that Moyes convinced the attacker that he can provide a platform that can help him return to his brilliant best and have a chance of making the cut in England’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.

After the European Championship last year, Grealish suggested he aimed to prove Gareth Southgate wrong as he was devastated by his exclusion from the Three Lions’ squad.
However, Thomas Tuchel has left the silky attacker out of his roster twice in a row as well — with the Englishman starting a combined 17 Premier League games in his past two seasons.

But Tuchel admires Grealish as a player and if he did bounce back at Everton under David Moyes, he could very well be named in the German’s England squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Grealish himself will be aware that he will have plenty of competition to be named in Tuchel’s roster, with Anthony Gordon, Morgan Rogers, Eberechi Eze and Marcus Rashford all in contention for spots on the left-wing.
As a result, the Manchester City superstar must make a statement at Everton or risk missing out on another trip to a major tournament with his national team.
