Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be set for a sensational return to the Premier League with Leeds United.
Daniel Farke will be pulling his hair out at the fact that Leeds are yet to sign a new striker ahead of their return to the Premier League, despite it being a clear priority ever since the day they achieved promotion.
The Whites have been linked with several attacking targets, including Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz, but as of yet, nothing is imminent, and it may be Joel Piroe to lead the line against Everton next week.
However, Calvert-Lewin is another to have been linked with Leeds, and the longer their search for a new frontman goes on, the more plausible this deal may appear.

Calvert-Lewin would be a huge risk for Leeds
At this stage, it’s unknown how serious Leeds’ interest in signing Calvert-Lewin really is, but one thing that is clear is that it would be a massive gamble.

However, according to talkSPORT, talks have been held.
The 28-year-old has struggled with injuries for years now, which ultimately led to his departure from Everton this summer.
316 career appearances
85 goals
18 assists
Added to that, the Englishman was earning £100,000 per week with the Toffees as per Capology, and a figure that high would see him become Leeds’ highest earner.
If that were his wage, it would see him earn £4.6million if he were to be offered a one-year contract at Elland Road, and considerably more if the deal were to be longer.

Should Leeds sign Calvert-Lewin?
This entirely hinges on the structure of a potential deal.
On a straight contract, on what will be high wages, it would be a hard pass for Leeds, though there may be another option.
If a pay-as-you-play deal were on the table, it could be smart business for both parties.
Calvert-Lewin would have an incentive to impress, and Leeds would face little risk behind a move, though it remains to be seen whether that is a possibility.
