Alexander Isak 'will not play for Newcastle again' as club forced to 'explore the market'

Alexander Isak is adamant he will not play for Newcastle again, even if he does not get his dream move to Liverpool.

The striker has not trained with his current teammates since before the club's recent pre-season tour of Asia, which he ruled himself out of due to injury.

Liverpool saw a £110 million ($148 million) bid for Isak rejected at the start of the month, and it has been consistently reported that Newcastle values the Sweden international at closer to £150 million.

While the Magpies would prefer to keep hold of Isak, The Athletic reports that they are considering their options in the transfer market.

Nicolas Jackson has been linked with a move to the North East club this week, while the club continues to work on a deal to sign Yoane Wissa.
