Report: Everton given green light as Premier League club open to selling 'full-back's nightmare'

Everton are close to completing their latest piece of transfer business with the addition of Jack Grealish.

David Moyes will be delighted to see Grealish arrive on Merseyside for his medical on Monday.

The deal is now expected to be wrapped up on Tuesday, with Everton fans left eagerly waiting an announcement.

Leeds United await the Toffees in the season opener on Monday, and the Everton squad is finally taking shape.

It has been a stressful summer for Moyes, who has had to bide his time when it comes to transfer additions.

But the Blues are on a roll after Everton confirmed the signing of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall last week.

More additions are on the radar, and one player is now in discussions with his club over a potential exit

Chelsea working on exit for Everton target Tyrique George

Everton have scouted Chelsea’s Tyrique George already this year, with a number of youngsters on the Toffees’ radar.

Ironically, Tyler Dibling was one of the players Everton scouted at that time, as a deal for the Southampton youngster looks set to collapse.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea are working with George and his representatives to find him a new club.

This comes amid Chelsea’s interest in the Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, who would push George out of the side.

It is believed George could be made available on a loan or even potentially a permanent deal this summer.

Everton are unlikely to sign Dibling now after the Saints are not showing any movement on their £50m valuation.

With this in mind, Everton are going to have to look elsewhere as their move for Grealish takes another step closer.

Tyrique George is a defender’s ‘nightmare’

The youngster may lack Premier League experience, but he has proven himself to be an exciting talent at Chelsea in the Europa Conference League.

However, Enzo Maresca is unlikely to hand George minutes in the league when Chelsea are splashing the type of cash that they typically do in the transfer window.

He could offer an exciting alternative to Dibling, with Joe Cole having previously waxed lyrical about the youngster last season.

“He’s been a real bright spark. He’s played in these games and George has taken his opportunity,” said Cole.

“He’s direct, he’s affecting the games. He’s every full-back’s nightmare because he gets at them and makes things happen.”
