Fenerbahçe make Zinchenko offer

Turkish Super Lig side have made a formal bid to sign Arsenal left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, with suggestions that talks may be advancing quickly towards a deal.

The move is not unexpected, with Mikel Arteta already have mooted that there could be defensive departures from the Emirates this week, with the need to raise some money to fund more transfer business.

Zinchenko has slipped down the pecking order at the Emirates, with both Myles Lewis-Skelly and Riccardo Califiori preferred ahead of him.

And although Arsenal’s initial valuation priced the player at ₤15 million, they are prepared to settle for less to facilitate the deal.

The Ukrainian international may not be the last Arsenal player to leave the club either in coming weeks, with Fabio Vieira, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Reiss Nelson and Jacob Kiwior all linked with moves away.
